These pieces are the culmination of my MA Photography project titled Concrete Tides.

They were included in the University of Brighton, MA, Graduate show, To Have Found Shelter in Daydreams.

This body of work looks at the feeling and embodied experience that is associated with surfing and skateboarding. The foundation of this work came from the realisation of experiencing a sense of peace and stillness through intentional movement when surfing. I believe that surfing and skateboarding are phenomenological; they are embodied ways of knowing the world through movement, perception, and repeated engagement with place. For myself, photography, surfing and skateboarding are inextricably linked.

These C-type prints were produced from high resolution, 35mm negative scans, then sized to 20/30 inches. They are printed on to Fuji matt, archival paper and mounted on to aluminium.
